I’ll definitely miss those days back in Korea. I’ll never regret staying at a backpackers house. I figure it’s so much more fun compared to staying in the hotel and locking yourself indoors at night. As I mentioned before, I love knowing new people. New people with the same goal as me. Which is to travel and have fun at this point.
I know I’m suppose to update the remaining 6 days before I jump into the final post… but while the feelings and memories are still fresh and vivid in my mind, I thought I better had my thoughts typed out. I promise I’ll update the rest soonest. Those who have my facebook can already check out my pictures there. There wasn’t much regret on bringing my dad’s rice sack (camera) out to Korea. Right now, I’m sick and coughing like cow but it was good thing that my body could last till I got back to Singapore. I didn’t want to fall sick while I’m overseas having fun.
I walked so much that my big toe became numb and it was the same symptom that I had in Japan last year. I don’t know if it’s the cold or due to long distance walking. It will come back soon, so I’ll leave it for now. I spent like 350 plus on cosmetics, one bag, one shoe and clothes! I’ve never bought so many things overseas before. It’s crazy, I say. I love their shoes but mainly they are all high heels and I don’t wear them. I can say their shoes aren’t the cheapest around as most shoes cost like at least 30SGD per pair. Even those on streets but it’s made out of pretty good quality. You get what you pay for.
Even though Elaine had allergies and I felt sick over the last few days, God has been really good to us. I also experienced a lot turbulence during the flight and I prayed that God will shield the plane and bring it to where it’s suppose to land. I knew somehow everything was going to be okay as I have peace and I know people who cared for us are out there praying as well. The weather was also great and it didn’t rain for almost 10 days. Even if it did rained, it was usually at night while we’re already heading back to the backpackers. I saw the forecast saying that it will rained but I prayed and trusted God with the weather. I told God that I really want to enjoy every moment of it without rain.
I felt human and my age again while I was traveling over the last 10 days. Work does make me feel older than I really need to, due to the stress and the amount of responsibility that I have to carry but it’s not a bad thing. Just made me more mature or one would say older. haha! Many people told Elaine that it’s better to go by tour, I didn’t believe so cos I felt lost when I was with tour and not lost when I didn’t follow tour. So there. That’s my conclusion. Even with the language barrier, we made it through with a lot of Chinese and even Japanese a few times. Thank God I knew some Japanese. Good that it was put to use even in Korea. I’m amazed at the amount of China workers in Korea. Every store we went to, there is at least one person who was from China. If you ask me what’s the largest population in the world, I will tell you it’s the people from China.
I made so many new friends over the past 10 days that I think I can stop making new friends for the rest of the year. Same for the walking. haha! Not… I purposely stayed up at night at the small kitchen area to talk to everybody. Well, to know them better and learn interesting things from them. It’s been a great experience and I realized that I talked to a lot more guys this time around. Or rather those whom I’ve talked to a lot are majority guys and almost all of them just quit their job to tour. haha. Is that a common sign for guys? Well, I don’t know. I’m proud to say that I’ve at least said “Hi” to people from France, U.S., Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, Colombia and of course Korea. Sad thing was I’ve didn’t managed to bump into another fellow Singaporean in Seoul.
I’m advertising for them for free cos they’re awesome two guys! Stay at Backpackers Korea if you’re looking for hostel like rooms. It’s a really small but comfortable place for girls as there are mainly females there. Still a handful of guys but safe for girls. Easy access from subway and very important point, easy access to limousine buses when you’re travelling to and fro from Incheon airport. You definitely don’t want to lug your luggage up/down stairs after stairs, not fun.
I know I’ve wrote so much to summarize my 10 days of uncontainable fun but it’s actually quite short… I can write even more in detail. Up to date, this was the best backpacking I’ve done in my life. I believe there will be much more over the next few years to come.

Oh, I didn’t mention this but I saw Kim Bum in Nami Island and Keun Suk aka Geun Seok in the same plane as me while I’m heading back to Singapore. How lucky! I only missed seeing Junsu, else all my fav 3 stars are actually seen live and up close!
Plus… there are no crazy fans around to step on me.
Till then, ta!
